Quiet Tarot keeps your data on your device. There are no accounts, no servers, and no interest in your personal information. Your data can be backed up automatically through your device's built-in backup system (iCloud on iOS, Google Backup on Android).
Everything you do in the app stays on your phone:
This data is stored locally using your device's storage. Quiet Tarot never sees it and can't access it.
On iOS: If iCloud is enabled on your device, Quiet Tarot automatically backs up your readings, journal entries, weekly focus, and preferences to your personal iCloud account using Apple's iCloud Key-Value Storage. You can toggle this on or off in the app's Settings. No additional sign-in or account creation is required.
On Android: If Google Backup is enabled on your device, your app data is automatically backed up to your Google account through Android's Auto Backup system. This happens in the background without any action from you. You can manage this in your device's system settings under Backup.
In both cases, your data goes directly to your personal cloud account. Quiet Tarot never sees, processes, or has access to your backed-up data. Apple and Google manage the storage and encryption respectively.
During setup, you can choose to share anonymous usage data. You can turn this off at any time in Settings → Privacy.
If you opt in, Quiet Tarot sends anonymous analytics to TelemetryDeck, a privacy-first analytics service based in the EU. Here is exactly what is collected:
Usage events (what you did, not what you wrote):
Device context (sent with every event):
What is never collected:
All analytics are tied to a random anonymous ID generated on your device. This ID cannot be linked to you or any of your accounts. TelemetryDeck's privacy policy is available at telemetrydeck.com/privacy.
Quiet Tarot+ is an optional annual subscription processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play Store, depending on your platform. Quiet Tarot uses RevenueCat to manage subscription status.
RevenueCat receives a transaction receipt from Apple or Google to verify your subscription. This does not include your name, email, or account ID. RevenueCat's privacy policy is available at revenuecat.com/privacy.
Quiet Tarot never sees or handles your payment information. All billing is managed by Apple or Google.
If you enable daily or weekly reminders, notification scheduling happens entirely on your device. Quiet Tarot does not use push notification servers.
If you choose to save a card image to your photo library, Quiet Tarot will ask for permission to access your photos. The saved image is stored in your device's photo library and never leaves your device.
Quiet Tarot is designed for adults but contains no content unsuitable for children. Since no personal information is collected, there is no way to verify a user's age.
